Lauren Graham has heard a handful of "strange" reflections from Gilmore Girls super fans over the years, but these comments take the cake (Sookie's cake, of course).
The actress, who played Lorelai Gilmore in the beloved series that ran from 2000 to 2007, appeared on the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and got candid about a few concerning remarks fans have made about their personal experience with the series.
"I will say it's getting — it can be strange at times," Graham mentioned that a few Gilmore Girls fanatics have told her that Lorelai raised them and that they use the show to put their dogs to sleep. Paul Anka would never (the dog Paul Anka, not the real Paul Anka).
"On one hand, people are starting to say, 'You raised me.' And I'm like, 'I hope there were other adults involved! And then on the other hand you have people that are like, 'Oh, I just have the show on in the background. It puts my dog to sleep. We just, we're not even listening anymore. It's just on like background music.'"
Fallon also asked the Because I Said So standout if she would return to Stars Hollow after nearly a decade since the miniseries, Gilmore Girls: A Year In the Life, was released. In true Lorelai fashion, Graham assured that she was all for it (like international grab bag night at Al's Pancake World).
"I would, yes. I always say yes. Because it's the best part I ever had, and I loved doing it. It's just that thing where it was the perfect material at the perfect time with the perfect writer, and it just means so much to me."
