Following the release of their new song, "Merry Christmas," the two can be heard on “Sausage Rolls for Everyone,” the Christmas single by popular British novelty act LadBaby. The quirky husband-and-wife duo has landed the U.K.’s coveted number-one spot for Christmas for the past three years.
Ironically, when Elton and Ed announced they had recorded "Merry Christmas," Elton said he wouldn't mind breaking LadBaby's three-year streak. “We’ve got the sausage roll man to deal with, haven’t we? We’ve got LadBaby to deal with! Once we bump him off, we might have a clear path to a hit record. He seems to have the monopoly on Christmas records. And good for him!”
100% of the profits from the song will go toward the Trussell Trust food bank charity. It will be released next Friday.
