'Bachelorette' Contestant Tyler Gwozdz Hospitalized After Apparent Overdose

Tyler Gwozdz was reportedly hospitalized following a possible overdose earlier this month.

According to TMZ, the Bachelorette contestant, who competed for Hannah Brown's heart on the latest season of the ABC series, was hospitalized for at least a week following a suspected overdose in Florida.

The Boca Raton Police Department told the outlet, officers and paramedics rushed to a home on Monday, January 13 in response to a 911 call for a possible drug overdose. They ended up transporting Tyler to a hospital where he was admitted to the ICU. Tyler reportedly remained in the hospital for a week and was listed in critical but stable condition. As of Tuesday (January 21), he was no longer listed as a current patient in the hospital's system.

It's unclear what led to Tyler's suspected OD. According to the 911 call, a woman told dispatchers it might've been heroin. "The caller was frantically trying to get into a bathroom where Tyler had locked himself," TMZ reports. Eventually, she did break through the door to find Tyler. Before an ambulance arrived, she was able to turn him on his back.

Tyler had a somewhat brief stint on season 15 of The Bachelorette. Despite having a one-on-one date with Hannah, he was mysteriously sent home after only three weeks on the show. His exit was never actually explained. Hannah only said that he had to leave.

The 29-year-old's Bachelorette profile listed him as a sales manager and an aspiring psychologist.

He has yet to comment on his alleged OD.
